Zoning Technician - Inspector I
The County of Augusta is accepting applications for the position of Zoning Technician-Inspector I in its Community Development Office. A partial listing of the duties and responsibilities of the position are as follows: Assist in the interpretation and enforcement of zoning, flood plain, erosion and sediment control, and sign ordinances; ability to effectively communicate with the public; review building and administrative permits; ensures investigations are coordinated and completed in a timely manner; maintain records and files; assist with Board of Zoning Appeals; ability to make and document all field inspections. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by college level courses in planning, political science, public administration or related field, and some experience in code enforcement is preferred.
Augusta County offers a fringe benefit package including VRS retirement and life insurance, health insurance, PTO leave programs. Hiring range is $40,321 to $44,353 DOQ.
