Summary
Provide a safe and enjoyable martial arts environment for participating students while instructing individual and group skills, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of the martial arts.

3. Commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week.
4. Exhibit patience, maturity, and dependability.
5. Possess good organization skills in and out of the class.
6. Possess strong moral values and personal ethics.
7. Use moral values and personal ethics to make just decisions for players and the team.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Provide instruction on age-appropriate martial arts skills and lessons.
Inform students of the cultural aspects of martial arts.
Ensure discipline and respect in each class.
Encourage appropriate use of the techniques learned, within the class and outside of the class.
Ensure and promote safety at all times.
Keep students informed of their progress.
Adhere to JEA policies, objectives, and rules as a campus. Lead by example in word and action among players, staff, and families.
Minimum Qualifications:
Position Requirements & Qualifications
Age 18 or older.
Black belt in your chosen martial arts style.
At least 3 years experience teaching martial arts to students of various ages.
CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
Cleared Background Check.
Physically agile with strong leadership skills.

Much of the work of this position is completed while standing/moving around in an athletic facility.
Able to perform martial arts movements and demonstrations with ease.
