With 7 locations in Tracy, CA serving over 800 youth daily Mon - Friday afterschool and all day on school some school closure dates. Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Unit Director, serves as program leader for a broad range of recreational and educational activities including planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating the effectiveness of all core program activities and supervising club members. The YDP creatively administers an assortment of unit assignments in accordance with generalized directives issued by the Unit Director to provide mentorship and programming that cultivates responsible traits in the youth they serve; provides guidance to members for the personal development of both individuals and groups; and performs related duties as required.

Essential Functions
▪ Plan, organize, supervise, implement and evaluate age appropriate programs and activities, including the design and implementation of special programs to recruit and retain members.
▪ Provide leadership and guidance to members involved with programs and activities; promote and stimulate participation and interest in the activities.
▪ Plan, supervise and lead club members in spontaneous, creative, fun and engaging activities in areas of arts, sports, games room, gymnasium, educational and other related programs.
▪ Assist with Club and/or organization-wide special events as required.
▪ Establish a trusting and lasting relationship with club members, parents and community members; become a positive mentor on a daily and ongoing basis.

BGCT Competencies
▪ Possess an A.A. Degree OR have earned 48 general credits from an accredited college OR obtained a Para Professional Certificate issued by Tracy Unified School District within 90days of date of hire.
▪ Possess basic qualities of good character, personality and leadership to promote a positive image of the Boys & Girls Club.
▪ Possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License and receive approval by the Club's auto insurance provider.
▪ Possess a Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications, or successfully obtain the required certifications within six (6) month of the date of hire; pass a TB test and an annual background screening and fingerprinting process.
▪ May occasionally require working varying schedules, including evenings and weekend hours.
▪ Possess an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Working Environment and Additional Qualifications
▪ Work in a high energy-level environment; able to comfortably perform multi-faceted projects when carrying out day-to-day activities in a tactful and flexible manner.
▪ Must be physically able to interact and participate in all Club program activities.
▪ Work in an indoor and outdoor Club setting.
▪ May require ability to supervise club members for prolonged periods of time.
▪ May require heavy lifting (20lb-50lb+).
▪ May on occasion work in inclement weather.
▪ COVID-19 considerations: Must be willing & able to adhere to COVID Safety Protocols including wearing masks.
