McElroy Truck Lines has an immediate opening for a Yard Maintenance posion. The individual will help maintain the professional appearance and safety of our Cuba, AL truck yard and shop, will perform maintenance and minor repairs on flatbed trailers, and will help as needed with simple shop and fleet maintenance tasks. Yard Maintenance
Job Duties:
- Maintain order, safety, and appearance of the truck yard area.
- Perform minor flatbed trailer repairs and regular maintenance, such as:
- Mudflaps
- 4’’ straps
- Tire pressure checks (trucks and trailers)
- Light replacement
- Winches
- Paint wheels
- DOT tape and inspections
- Check brake chambers
- Check wheel seals and hubs
- Always put the safety and satisfaction of our drivers first when working on equipment.
Qualifications:
- No experience required but will need a strong desire to learn
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
- Possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Some weekend work may be required
