AAkron Rule Corp is looking for a detail-oriented, fast and effective person to join our growing Team. This team member provides support in the yard and within the mill. Salary is dependent on experience.

Job Duties

• Oversee drying process for Pine and Bass Kiln
• Loading and sticking lumber
• Oversee wax Kiln process
• Responsible for plainer setup and maintenance
• Operate fork truck
• Unload wood delivery truck and scale the lumber to make sure proper amount is received
• Responsible for directing pine and bass wood cutters and yard personnel
• Coordinate workload with mill lead
• Ensure quality product is being produced and resolving issues when they arise.
• Answer questions about yard when Plant Manager is out of office
• Maintain wood inventory/ Keep Plant Manager informed when materials are needed
• Perform Daily fork truck inspection
• Make sure employees are following safety policies and procedures
• Identify and train backup to cover your responsibilities when you are not at work.

Skills/ Qualifications

• Basic math skills
• Ability to read calipers and tape measuring devises.
• Ability to learn to operate fork truck.
• Ability to prioritize and execute daily work assignments.
• Understanding of overall customer satisfaction expectations specific to on-time-delivery (OTD)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
