Cheney Brothers is looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to join our transportation team. Job Responsibilities/Requirements
Cheney Brothers, headquartered in Riviera Beach, is immediately looking for full-time motivated Yard Driver/Jockey (Day) in our new Statesville, NC facility.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Facilitate movement and spotting of tractors & trailers for warehouse shipment, sorting, and storage.
Operate Yard Truck/Yard Horse in a safe manner under 10 mph in and around the yard storage lot and staging areas.
Move loaded and empty trailers timely, stage assigned trailers to dock door to be loaded for deliveries, assign trailers to routes per schedule, refuel tractors/trailers as needed, and document and organize assigned trailers
Communicate via cell/2-way radio with transportation & operations
Other duties as assigned
Schedule 1st Shift - Mon thru Fri, 5am to 1:30pm About Us
