Apple Worldwide Developer Relations is looking for a highly motivated Localization Producer to assist with creating, maintaining, and expanding content for the Brazilian Portuguese Apple Developer website (https://developer.apple.com/pt/support/) and related marketing communications. We are looking for someone who is passionate about accurate translation and effective writing, and possesses excellent interpersonal, prioritization, and communication skills. The candidate must be highly meticulous, meet required deadlines, and maintain industry-leading standards of quality.
Key Qualifications
- Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese.
- Exceptional translation and writing skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Solid proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Able to think clearly and approach problems flexibly.
- Proven ability to rely on own discernment and discretion to work independently, including the ability to organize, plan, and prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments at a time, in creative and efficient ways.
- Willingness to listen, challenge, and commit when taking on new assignments, and innovate down to the details when necessary.
- Familiarity with WorldServer or similar translation software is a plus, but not required.
- Basic HTML, web production, and text processing skills are a plus, but not required.
Description
The successful candidate will: - Localize technical marketing content. - Translate urgent content. - Review and edit vendor translations. - Work remotely with teams in Brazil to review content. - Work closely with engineering teams to test the website. - Maintain style guides, translation memory, and a database of terms. - Assist with miscellaneous web and email production projects.
