Position Summary: The Work Management Technician will work with one of our major customers through the implementation of a new work management system to get our employees up to speed in both their specific vertical role, and the overall needs of the Company. Work Management Technicians often have backgrounds in business, systems, leadership, human resources, development, and education.

Pike was founded in 1945 as Floyd S. Pike Electrical Contractors. Duke Energy was Pike’s first customer, and remains one of the Company’s largest customers today. Pike provides engineering, construction and maintenance for distribution and transmission powerlines, substations, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects, as well as renewable energy projects. We are also a recognized leader in storm restoration.
Pike’s clients are investor-owned utilities, electric co-operatives and independent power providers. Pike has successfully developed long-term partnerships with its clients, some of which date back to the formation of the Company.
Essential Functions:
- Identify new work in the customer’s online Work Management System
- Process work documents to create actionable projects for field employees
- Receive and process project information for underground utility lines
- Distribute project information to other departments to help facilitate their work
- Update project information and status in the work management system
- Submit and track service requests
- Report project status information to project supervisors
- Maintain schedules for field crews and advocate for them
- Interface with the customer’s Work Management System specialists
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Familiarity with work management systems or processes
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiar with Microsoft Office
