Started in 2020, Brooklyn Campervans is stepping up to meet the rapid demand for van life and then taking it to the next level with innovative designs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Brooklyn Campervans Wood Worker & Production Associate position is a flexible role that plays upon your skills based off the conversations from the Production Questionnaire. There will be a lot of learning on the job, where high standards and attention to detail are very important.

Workers will rotate through different tasks as well as perform the same or similar tasks through multiple campervans. The majority of the tasks would revolve around carpentry and woodworking experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work on a team to build, assemble and install van components and cabinetry for a Brooklyn Campervans build.

• Uses power tools to perform job duties.

• Follows work instructions and specifications to determine required assembly and installation of various van components.

• Tracks adequate supplies of assembly, sub-assembly, and installation parts for a particular task and requests supplies through purchasing or appropriate channels.

• Assembles components per work instructions. Takes detailed notes if needed for new instructions.

• Practices good housekeeping by keeping work stations, kits, neighboring areas and aisles clean and accessible.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks efficiently and methodically.

• Must have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

• Ability to operate the necessary equipment in compliance with quality control standards.

• Ability to maintain personal safety rules regarding work.

• Ability to work well with others, communicate effectively in small groups and 1-on-1 situations within the organization.

• Must be reliable, have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused.

• Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.

• Computer skills preferred (use of spreadsheets, Google Suite, email, web research, word processing)

• Great attention to detail.

• Possess a positive attitude with a work ethic of the highest degree.

• Must maintain personal safety rules regarding work.

• Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.

• Must be 18 years or older.

EDUCATION:

• High School or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 2 years of carpentry experience.

TYPE:

• Contractor full-time

• Starts at $21-$24/hr

• Day shift. May open up weekends and night shifts in future.
