Woodruff Park Attendant

Part Time Position

General Description:

Responsible for monitoring all activity within the confines and immediate surrounding areas of the park.

Enforce existing City Park Rules (codified), as well as park program rules. Ensure a safe environment for

all patrons to enjoy; serve as the first line representative of the Park to all users of the park and persons

in violation of park rules; and responsible for the safe keeping of all park property and equipment.

Qualifications: 

Must be High School Graduate. 

Demonstrate good character and discipline. 

Successfully complete prescreening and background check. 

Be in good physical condition. 

Ability to work any assigned schedule. 

Must successfully complete Park Attendant Training Program. 

Exposure tolerance to all outdoor environment conditions that may be experienced year-round

in the District area for up to several hours at a time 

Ability to twist, bend, lift, and carry odd-shaped objects weighing up to 40 lbs. (such as chairs

and tables) 

Normal, or correctable to normal, hearing, vision, speech, manual dexterity, and capacity to

conduct a walking patrol of the Park area hourly without encumbering prosthetic support. 

Must be able to complete Segway training, and successfully operate a Segway for use during the

shift. 

Maintain a professional and even-tempered demeanor while confronting stressful situations

that might arise in the Park

Pay and Benefits: 

Starting Pay $13.00 per hour 
