WIRE After School Coordinator
Job description
Basic Function: To plan, manage, coordinate, implement and supervise day-to-day operations of the after school program at WIRE. This is a 20 hour per week position. Hours are Monday-Friday 2:00-6:00pm
Direct Supervisor: Community Program Director
Qualifications: High school diploma required along with demonstrated relevant experience in area of education, social work, or related field. Experience working with school-age children. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Effective organizational, management, and budgetary skills are necessary. Must be computer proficient, resourceful, enthusiastic, self-directed, and willing to work a flexible schedule.
Specific Duties: WIRE Afterschool Coordinator
- Supervise operations of after school activities
- Recruit, monitor and evaluate student enrollment
- Implement and/or coordinate enrichment activities, including but not limited to fieldtrips, guest speakers, special events and service learning
- Submit required documentation to Community Programs Manager before making any purchases
- Ensure completion and maintenance of accurate student and volunteer records
- Submit receipts/invoices to Community Programs Manager in a timely manner
- Submit requested reports on program operations to Community Programs Manager
- Ensure CISDM records are current and accurate
- Serve as contact for parents and staff
- Meet with the Community Programs Manager to plan and discuss program progress
- Attend meetings called by Community Programs Manager and/or executive director
- Work collaboratively with public schools, agencies, businesses, civic organizations, families, and CIS to bring needed resources to students and their families
- Promote positive working relationship between schools and community
- Attend professional development training
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance
- Perform other duties as assigned
