Frontenac Point Wineryis a small, family-owned Estate winery established in 1979 by a Cornell graduate. We are located 15 minutes from Ithaca on Route 89, just north of Taughannock Falls State Park.

You will primarily guide the guest experience in our tasting room for people from all over the world who visit the Finger Lakes. In this position we will also teach you about growing grapes (viticulture), making wine (enology), running a small winery, and the history of the Finger Lakes wine industry. If desired, additional work is available outside the tasting room in the winery and vineyard.

We specialize in premium dry wines including Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay, while also utilizing several hybrid varieties including Chambourcin, Maréchal Foch, and Seyval Blanc as they are important for a sustainable New York vineyard.

Fridays and weekends necessary - 10:30am till 5pm; flexible hours;

Transportation to and from the winery necessary but not needed while on the job.

This is a part time, seasonal position - Job begins mid-May and ends November 19, 2022.

* Willingness to learn about wine and appropriately presenting it to visitors is necessary.

* Knowledge of wine is helpful but not necessary.

* Ability to work alone as well as with others.

* Ability to lift 40 pounds (a case of wine) and carry it up a flight of stairs from the winery cellar to the tasting room.

* Inventory management.

* Setting up and closing tasting room at the end of the day.
