Job Title: Wholesale Sales Manager
Reports To: Head of Sales & Business Development
Location: Santa Cruz/Bay Area and/or Los Angeles (Hybrid)

We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager with experience in growing revenue and strategic distribution. The ideal candidate will have multi-channel sales experience, excellent communication, and presentation skills, and the ability to build strong trusted customer relationships. The Wholesale Sales Manager will model professional ethics, consistently deliver stellar sales, and be an outstanding Verve brand ambassador. The Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible for growing our wholesale business mainly in the grocery and distributor segment.
The Wholesale Sales Manager will be an integral part of the Wholesale team driving strategic growth for Verve Coffee Roasters. This position is located in Santa Cruz/Bay Area and/or Los Angeles (Hybrid).
Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on new business goals by winning new business as well as growing existing key accounts across 3-4 U.S. regions
  • Grow and manage a consistent and continuous new business pipeline through relationship building, prospecting tools, and research
  • Establish and manage strong relationships with existing strategic accounts with significant growth potential
  • Partner with the Marketing team to develop customer-specific sales presentations, and work cross-functionally to support strategic new business opportunities, including account-specific launch plans
  • Maintain detailed files and communication records for each account in ZenDesk Sell CRM
  • Display an excellent knowledge of all Verve offerings and the competitive landscape
  • Develop creative account-specific strategies in collaboration with other Sales Managers to deliver growth across channels
  • Ensure ongoing communication about account activity with Customer Service, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams, including forecasting coffee volume
  • Consult prospects on all logistical needs in order to best support customers and showcase Verve products & services, including identifying necessary collateral specific to the account
  • Onboard new wholesale accounts
  • Ensure that Verve is represented as a superior quality coffee brand in all distribution channels
  • Stay abreast of competitive climate and industry trends through applicable trade organizations and industry journals
  • Assist with events as needed

  • Valid Driver's License, access to a reliable vehicle
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel when needed
  • Background in craft coffee, specialty food/beverage experience a plus

Experience:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3 - 5 years of sales experience including Wholesale and/or brand experience, Consumer Packaged Goods industry preferred
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office and Google Suite; advanced Excel and PowerPoint required

Pay & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 annually
