Job description

General Description of Duties
Coordinates programmatic and operational support for diverse division programs and division-wide functions that support healthy eating, physical activity, and chronic disease management. Supports projects as team member under the functional direction of team leads. May be team lead on selected projects. Specific project assignments may change over time.
Examples of Specific Duties:
- Supports BPHC's Boston Healthy Childcare Initiative
- Coordinate BPHC's workplace wellness initiative
- Coordinate BPHC's Healthy Out-of-School time program
- Facilitate education and training for community stakeholders, including outreach, enrollment, material preparation, and participant data collection.
- Supports division public communications, including researching and developing fact sheets, newsletters, and social media content and maintaining website pages and list serves.
- Coordinate internal and external workgroups, including agenda development, note taking and after-meeting work.
- Communicate with external stakeholders about division program and services.
- Coordinate data collection for specific program indicators and for division-wide quality improvement and performance management.
- Provides staff support to other Division staff as assigned, including collecting, analyzing, and reporting information, attending meetings, taking minutes, and related duties.
- Attend community meetings and events to share resources and staff information tables.
- Develop and implements program work plans, timelines, budgets.
- Compile data and prepares reports, including for grant reporting.
- May supervise interns.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS and 2 years of equivalent experience in operations support, business administration, public health, public administration, or related area, OR 5 years of equivalent experience in operations support, business administration, public health program coordination may be substituted for undergraduate degree. A Master's degree in relevant area may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of office procedures and fiscal systems for budget, ordering and accounts payable.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to develop timelines and meet deadlines.
- Ability to prepare reports and to maintain accurate records. Ability to work with numbers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain harmonious working relationships with others.
- Advanced knowledge & experience with MSOffice, MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint, and online meeting platforms like Teams and Zoom
- Ability to understand, explain, apply the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures of unit activities.
- Ability to design flyers and informational materials
- Demonstrated cultural competence with the diverse ethnic, cultural and socio-economic groups.
- Bilingual and/or bicultural applicants encouraged to apply.
- MA drivers' license preferred.
