Job description

Our team is looking for an experienced part-time welder for our fabrication shop to support a robust and growing company with the potential for a full-time hire. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication shops, is creative and can come up with unique solutions to complex fabricating problems, enjoys metal fabrication, and is willing to work with management to develop work schedules around their schedule – while ensuring deadlines are met for order completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· 3-5 years of TIG and MIG welding experience

· Be able to read blueprints, meet deadlines, and communicate with management.

· Experience with architectural fabrication; tube frames, screens frames, canopies, precise parts.

· Ability to grind welds smooth, counter sink holes, drill and tap holes, cut material to length, and understand complex geometry for items such as showcases or curved items.

· Comfortable with welding various thin gauge metals and decorative metals such as Brass, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and more.

· Structural steel fabrication (stick welding)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

· Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems promptly; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem-solving.

· Teamwork – Ability to effectively work in a team environment, including the ability to take/follow directives, maintain a professional demeanor, and demonstrate respect for all employees.

· Ability to match materials for color, grain, texture, knots, and other features; Good hardwood, veneer, and panel knowledge.

· Demonstrate attention to detail, maintain focus, and follow through in completing work tasks.

Education and Experience:

· High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or technical school degree/certificate preferred; more significant than three (3) years related work experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Strong knowledge of Painting and prior work. IND-EL

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
