Web Developer (NAS Resiliency)

LST is seeking a creative Web Developer to join our team and to provide support for the FAA, National Airspace System (NAS) Resiliency Program.

The NAS Resiliency Team provides engineering and program management support for the planning, design, implementation, and assessment of resiliency measures related to the industrial control systems used for critical NAS infrastructure. The team uses a methodical and data driven approach to measure the agency's ability to prepare for, adapt to, and withstand changes in service levels and recover rapidly from service disruptions. Our team develops models that support pre-event and post-event resiliency measures.


Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible developing UI to maximize the User Experience (UX)
  • Design dashboards of operational status for customer
  • Build scalable web applications, including developing mobile applications
  • Test website interface and software stability
  • Write code for websites and applications
  • Troubleshoot, debug and modify code
  • Collaborate with the team members on requirements analysis, design, configuration, change and risk management, documentation, planning, accessibility remediation and compliance, and security and quality assurance;
  • Establishes productive working relationships and maintains effective communications with teammates and end-users.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with software frameworks to facilitate the process of app development such as, .NET, VisualBasic.NET, and ASP.NET
  • Have knowledge with coding languages such as SQL and/or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  • Familiarity with video editing
  • Strong attention to detail and well-organized, with the ability to work well in a collaborative team setting
  • Strong communication skills to interface with customers as well as collaborate in a cross-discipline team environment is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and ability to self-prioritize, manage and adjust multiple tasks as project evolves is required.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a software engineer assisting in the design, development, testing and deployment of the computer software.
