WANTED: an ambitious, proactive, multi-talented individual that loves web design and development and thrives in a fast-paced marketing environment… oh, and is a many-hat-wearing connoisseur of some sort.

Ultimately, we’re looking for a web designer. But not just any web designer, a web designer who can develop amazing custom sites on Wordpress (and potentially other platforms), as well as design supplementary online and print pieces if we're lucky. So obviously we envision this person being multi-talented. Creative and innovative. A master problem-solver. Someone who has a true interest in web and digital design and enjoys finding creative ways to help businesses and individuals alike to “branch away from the norm.”

If you enjoy transcribing medical documents for 8 hours a day in a dim closet while wearing the same baseball cap you’ve worn since junior high and jamming to Yanni’s greatest hits on repeat… then this is not the job for you. At Tulip Tree, we wear lots of hats, change up our music stations daily, and find ourselves doing anything from party planning to product cataloging in an open, flexible office environment full of multi-tasking mania. Primary Duties:

• Taking instruction and completing required tasks.
• Meeting with clients to discover their goals, desires, and needs.
• Design and develop mobile-responsive websites.
• Design of miscellaneous online and print projects and logos.
• Other duties as needed or defined.

Necessary Skills, Knowledge, and Requirements:

• An interest in marketing
• Ability to multi-task, take initiative, and work in an efficient, proactive, and effective manner
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
• Good timekeeping skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (CS6 and newer versions) and Microsoft Office programs
• Developing experience on multiple platforms and applications (i.e. Wordpress, WooCommerce, Squarespace, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Beaver Builder, Elementor, etc.)
• Compelling copywriting skills and proofreading proficiency
• Phenomenal communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Adaptability and flexibility: Certain jobs may require longer working hours during busy periods with short notice
• Possessing of confidence, determination, and discretion
• Desire to succeed with an ambitious, competitive spirit and an optimistic attitude
• Plus, of course, the obligatory excellent customer service skills

This position is a full-time, on-site position in Stewartville, MN. Salary is based on experience and talent. At least 2 years of design and development experience is required – no entry-level development training will be offered with this position.
