As a Digital Literacy Resource Navigator (DLRN) at WorkSource, the member will support community members experiencing technology access barriers. The member will use Northstar digital literacy to assess the technology needs of individuals, and facilitate their skills-advancement through one-on-one, small group, and cohort workshops, using Northstar online learning and curriculum and other digital literacy resources. DLRNs provide basic device tech support and instruction, assistance navigating online resources and services, and support access to the Affordable Connectivity Program and other affordable home internet programs. Other duties include keeping accurate and timely records while tracking and organizing participant data, reports outcomes as required, communicating and coordinates with other DLRNs and WorkSource staff to provide warm handoffs to community partners for additional support services.

WorkSource Seattle-King County is a partnership of government, education, and community organizations that offers a unique resource for businesses and job seekers: a “one-stop” for career development and human resources support. WorkSource incorporates employment services, skills training, and community services. As the digital Literacy Resource Navigator, the member will: teach digital skills to community members experiencing technology access barriers. Use Northstar's digital skills assessment to assess the technology needs of individuals and use Northstar's online curriculum and lessons to teach digital skills, including basic computer training, and digital skills for job readiness. Provide one-on-one and group setting digital skills training and basic tech support. Help navigate online resources and services, such as referrals to organizations helping individuals apply for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) and sources of affordable or free devices. We need your assistance improving and expanding communities' abilities to not only exist but flourish in the digital world. Everyone needs to continuously improve knowledge and experience navigating technology including King County's job seekers of all ages, experiences, cultures and nationalities. You'll be welcomed and supported as a WorkSource staff member, joining over 350 people currently assisting job seekers and employers to recover economically from the pandemic and to fully participate in online experiences. You'll get the respect of the job seekers as they gain skills and improve virtual abilities, toward the ultimate goal of a good job to support them and their families. This position will receive a monthly stipend of $3143.24 and an educational award of $6,495.00 after successfully completing service
