PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsible for the set-up, program, and operation of a wave solder machine and In-Line cleaning machine.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Adjusts the speed, temperature and makes other adjustments to accommodate varying types and sizes of boards.

2. Prepares board for wave solder operation.

3. Inspects boards for a good solder joint.

4. Adds flux for consistency and purges, cleans and recharges system as required.

5. Checks work in progress for top soldering, bridges, pinholes and other defects to maintain quality standards.

6. Cleans boards and equipment as required.

7. Clip (cut) the lead of components to meet workmanship standard.

8. Conducts preventive maintenance and performs minor machine maintenance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Not required but preferred.

RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of wave soldering equipment operation and maintenance preferred.

JOB COMPLEXITY:

Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature. Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Assignments performed under direct supervision. Receives no instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Frequently required to walk, stand, hold, see, talk, and/or move objects.

MENTAL EFFORT:

Requires basic reading and writing skills and frequent judgment and decision making effort.

EQUIPMENT:

Requires the various types of hand tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Requires frequent interaction with all levels of employees. Frequently works around electrical equipment and may be exposed to extreme temperature changes, fumes, odors, gases, high voltage areas and moving equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
