WASTEWATER LIFT STATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Salary: $33.00 - $36.70/hr.

Status: full-time, IBEW union

General Function:

Under general supervision of the Lead Wastewater Collections Systems Technician, operates and maintains the Wastewater utility’s pump/lift stations to prevent sanitary sewer overflows; convey and control the flow and quality of wastewater influent in order to meet NPDES permit requirements.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or G.E.D. and three years experience in wastewater field. Must possess at least a Level II WWCPA Certification, or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment. Level III certification is preferred.

Valid Washington State driver’s license with at a minimum class B CDL with Tank Vehicle Endorsement with acceptable driving record is required.

Must possess State certification for asbestos pipe repair or removal or the ability to obtain one within one year.

Must possess NCCCO Telescopic Boom Cranes – Fixed Cab (TSS) Crane Certification or the ability to obtain one within one year.
