Position: Warehouse Worker III
Location: Warehouse – Santa Fe Springs, CA
The Warehouse Worker III is an experienced candidate that will receive and reconcile deliveries; check for shortages and damage; load and unload orders generated by customer service; unpack, store, and reorganize stock; operates forklifts and material handling equipment; keep warehouse clean, safe, and orderly. The Warehouse Worker III will also assist in training routine work assigned to temporary workers; answer questions about materials in stock; assist in physical inventory and cycle counts.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Environmental, Health and Safety
- Responsible to follow all safety policies, JSP's and guidelines to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace and facility, along with make suggestions for improvement if necessary.
- Maintain a positive work environment and strong customer service levels for both external and internal customers including warehouse employees, Field Service, etc.
- Physical Inventory
- Effective utilization of warehouse storage capacity and equipment and compliance with required warehouse standards (food grade facility, NSF, etc.).
- Responsible for accurate receiving, picking, and shipping of materials. Follow warehouse inventory control procedures, take a leading role in monthly cycle counts, and annual physical inventories.
- Planning, Scheduling, Logistics
- Full knowledge of their job functions and duties. Be able and willing to step into any position when needed for job completion.
- Perform warehouse operations including shipping/receiving, bulk transfer operations, inventory management.
- Prepares customer orders by processing request, pulling material, placing orders in delivery area, loading orders onto carriers, trucks, or Bulk Trailers and maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies.
- In an emergency situation, the employee is able to open and operate the warehouse to execute a shipment or receipt in the absence of the warehouse manager.
- Policies & Procedures
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending Safety meetings, reviewing JSP/procedures.
- Maintains forklifts, Hurricane 500 EM and equipment.
- Completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Capability to fully train and coach lower-level employee's and temporary workers with JSP's and work procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- 3-5 years Industrial/Warehouse experience required.
- 3-5 years Fork-Lift experience required.
- 3-5 years Yard Tractor experience preferred.
- Calgon Carbon Warehouse experience preferred.
Hours of work: Full-time position with hours generally Monday through Friday typically from 9-5 (Overtime as required)
