IRONWOOD Business Consulting is interviewing potential candidates for a Warehouse Coordinator position Our Client is a mechanical services firm that combines expertise in the mechanical services arena with more than 25 years of industry experience. They serve all sectors of the oil and gas industry, upstream, midstream, and downstream to operators, contractors, and service companies and are based out of Odessa, TX.
Job Title: Warehouse Specialist
Schedule: Friday-Monday, 10-hour shifts, on-call
Department: Supply
Travel: 10%, local job sites
Reports To: Asset/Supply Chain Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist will fulfill and process orders, accept incoming shipments, and oversee the general organization of the warehouse.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:
- Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.
- Updates Supply Board.
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area.
- Coordinates and schedules the movement of products.
- Implements daily production and shipping plans.
- Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
- Operates forklift truck as needed.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Assists sales team.
- Acts as a liaison between sales and supply teams.
- Prepares purchase orders.
- Receives after-hours orders.
- Complete all workplace safety and health training as required and practice safe behaviors & workplace practices.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully, the requirements representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required include the following:
Education/Certification:
- A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Forklift certification and experience are preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibit basic computer literacy skills. Prior knowledge of Google Suite products is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:

- Normal operating conditions could be during the day/night, in outdoor hot/cold weather, and/or wet conditions. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
- The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but may be loud at times.
- The employee is required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see.
- The employee will frequently be standing, stepping, lifting, climbing, overhead reaching, balancing, kneeling, crawling, and bending.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
