Moody Dunbar, Inc. is a food processor of premium red bell peppers, roasted peppers, pimientos, and sweet potatoes. Moody Dunbar, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Warehouse Quality Control Specialist for Dunbar Foods Corporation, a subsidiary of Moody Dunbar, Inc., located in Dunn, NC. The ideal candidate would be detail oriented, have excellent time management skills, and able to follow directions precisely.

Pay/Wages: $14-$16 depending on experience.

Hours and Schedule:

Non Production Season: Monday-Friday

Production Season: Monday-Saturday; longer hours are a requirement during production season.

Job duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Adhering to work hours as required by this position.
• Following and enforcing company rules, policies and procedures.
• Following and enforcing all safety measures as required by the company.
• Performing other duties as requested by management.

FOOD SAFETY RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ensuring the dud detection system is calibrated and works effectively.
• Ensures that the proper product, correct code, boxes, and labels are being used on the labeling line.
• Ensure correct pallets are used for stacking product.
• Conducting self-audits of the warehouse and completing audit checklist as defined by the quality control program.
• Inspects pallets to verify that we meet customer requirements and verifies pallet is clean.
• Ensures all cans are properly handled and not damaged during the labeling process Inspects cans and reviews discarded can report of cans that do not conform to specifications for troubleshooting and investigation.
• Inspects incoming product and cans and complete required paperwork-inform Warehouse Inventory and Q.C. Managers of any potential problems.

• Steel Toe Shoes as required
• Gloves as required

Training:

• Food Safety & Food Quality Procedures
• MDI Policies & Procedures

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be respectful of team members.
• Able to communicate effectively to team member and supervisors when there is a quality error.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school or GED diploma.
• Associates degree in chemistry, food science, or related natural science or 3 years experience in a food industry quality control position helpful.
• Must be able to stand continuously for extended periods of time.
• Must be capable of making repetitive arm and hand motions.
• Legible handwriting.
• 2 years computer experience.
• Excellent math skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to learn Dunbar coding system within reasonable length of time.
• Ability to transfer numbers.
• Forklift experience a plus.
