Warehouse Clerk - Vendor Managed Inventory

We are an aerospace hardware distributor seeking to fill the position of a VMI Warehouse Clerk in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is a very fast-paced environment: speed, accuracy, organization, and multi-tasking skills are imperative.

The successful candidate will interact with the customer and other team members. We are looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn in a warehouse environment, and has a great attitude. Professionalism and high attention to detail are a must.

The VMI Warehouse Clerk will be primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory levels in the VMI bins at the customer’s facility. The VMI Warehouse clerk will work at the customer facility daily to receive shipments and deliver parts into the designated bins.

The ideal candidate will be required to interview, over the phone and/or Microsoft Teams, with VP of Operations and the Purchasing & VMI Director. If hired this will be followed by one to two weeks of training in Greensboro, NC.

Job Duties may include:

  • Receive material from Clarendon Specialty Fasteners, Inc.
  • Count and package based on order requirements and due dates on pick tickets.
  • Invoice and print bar codes for labeling.
  • Manage Vendor Managed Inventory Bins.
  • Set-up new bins as needed.
  • Adjust bins and bag sizes as needed.
  • Scan bins for replenishment using a tablet and scanner.
  • Scan bags into the correct bin using a tablet and scanner.
  • Interact with the customer and have a detailed understanding of the program.
  • Be able to search Clarendon Specialty Fasteners system at the customer facility for part inquiries.
  • Attend weekly status meeting via conference meeting and/or WebEx.
  • Report daily progress to management.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle report to run errands if needed.
  • Must be able to clear a background and drug test.
  • Time management and meeting deadlines is a necessity.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse duties including pulling parts, packaging, and shipping based off of detailed requirements
  • Experience using order picker/forklift and pallet jack equipment.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor to interact with the customer.
  • Possess basic PC skills.
  • You will be standing, stooping, reaching, bending, and carrying boxes in a very fast paced environment. Applicants must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
  • HS Diploma at minimum.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
