We're excited to be looking for a Warehouse Associate - Receiving to support our Warehouse operations at our Pittsfield, Ma facility. The Warehouse Associate oversees the workflow of the Pittsfield warehouse operations as related to all Receiving functions. The Warehouse Associate will provide a full-scope of operational support for our distribution activities including receiving, shipping order picking, order packing, returns processing, quality control, item put-away, inventory control and general workplace maintenance.
This is a Full Time, Monday through Friday Position. Scheduled hours are: 6:15 am - 2:45 pm.
How will you support the team?
- Must be fork truck and stock picker certified or willing to do so.
- Unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to inbound receipts, and assist in other departments as needed.
- Moving materials and items from receiving to primary and overstock locations as needed.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Opening bales, pallets, boxes, and other containers.
- Recording amounts of materials received in warehouse management system.
- Sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
- Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness always.
- Complete assignments with the use of RF equipment as needed.
We're looking for someone with...
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to use and understand carrier and company computer shipping, receiving, and replenishment equipment utilizing RF.
- Ability to learn and become certified.
- Knowledge of SAP software and SAAS and DATA COLLECT.
- Written and verbal English language skills required.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Must have above average attention to detail and be able to identify product and quantities accurately.
- The employee is occasionally required to utilize step stool or rolling ladder equipment.
- The employee must regularly lift, push, pull up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift, push and pull more than 70 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
