Warehouse Inbound Receiving Associate

Job Description

The position will process incoming and outgoing shipments. The responsibilities include unloading trucks, verifying items, checking for quality, over, shorts, damages and processing returns. Product must be verified against bills of lading, invoices and purchase orders.

Must be able to inspect inbound and outbound shipments with great attention to detail and be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items. The position should be able to efficiently process each order and promptly resolve problems and discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

· Receiving inbound freight and verifying against purchase orders and packing lists

· Unloading inbound deliveries from trucks. Loading outbound deliveries onto trucks

· Inspect deliveries to ensure they match purchase orders and product specifications

· Utilize RF Scanner and enter all orders and product transfers using the inventory system

· Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas

· Organize, manage and submit all inbound/outbound documents to the office daily

· Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system

· QC client supply orders prior to final packaging

· Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures

· Communicate effectively with all levels of management, co-workers and client to provide quality customer service.

· Work effectively within a team-oriented department and company

· Adhere to company schedule to meet workflow demands

· Special projects and other related duties as assigned

Core Skills/Background

· High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic computer operations skills. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers and management personnel

· Minimum of two years of work experience preferably in a warehouse environment

· Flexibility to work in fast-past environment

· Great positive attitude

· Attention to detail, dependability, and team player

· Ability to use hand scanner

Physical Demands

· Standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, sitting, lifting up to 75+ lbs reaching outward, and reaching above shoulders, squatting, kneeling, good sense of sound, vision, sense of smell, sense of touch, ability to wear personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
