Hassett Logistics is currently seeking two Warehouse Associates to join our team at our Bensenville, Illinois terminal. The Warehouse Associates are responsible for performing general warehouse functions associated with shipping, receiving, manual freight handling, and forklift operations.
Hours/Schedule: One associate's shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.*
Second associate's shift: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.*

• Must be available to work weekends or overtime, as needed

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Count, pack, band, and tape freight into various containers and/or skids
• Load and unload freight by hand or by forklift
• Operate a pallet jack, two and four-wheel dollies, and all van equipment needed to secure loads
• Operate a propane-fuel forklift (5k lifting capacity)
• Complete bills of lading and other transportation documents accurately
• Notate damage and communicate information to the manager
• Label and recycle corrugated containers
• Utilize barcode scanning tool or applications
• Comply with all TSA and DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Learn and handle inventory procedures, including accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing freight
• Communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers
• Complete assignments by required deadlines
• Other projects as assigned by the Operations Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to physically lift up to 70 pounds is required
• Ability to frequently and consistently lift, bend, and stretch is required
• Certification in forklift operation is preferred; otherwise, job requires associates to become forklift certified within first month of hire
• Must pass TSA Security Threat Assessment upon hire
• Regular, reliable attendance is required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to enter data into computer system
• Good math skills
• Computer-proficient with Internet, e-mail, and telephone applications
