Job description

We are looking for warehouse employees for our growing business. Responsibilities include receiving and putting away materials (forklift and small package), some clay manufacturing and or re-packaging of materials, deliveries (mostly in the Kansas City to Topeka area, and occasional deliveries further out to Lincoln, Omaha, Manhattan, Salina, Hays), picking & packing orders for small package shipment or building pallets for shipping freight. Familiarity with computers is important as we use macintosh computers and 2 primary applications to track orders (plus email and web browser applications). On-the-job forklift training is available, but previous experience is a plus. We monitor work product constantly and give raises quarterly as earned, plus a cost of living increase annually. Bonuses are also given for exemplary work on a project at any time of the year. Hiring for full-time or part-time. This is a fairly relaxed environment but we take customer service seriously and we all work together to maintain a really positive image for our company and a great experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, pack, and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship/deliver)
  • Some delivery in conjunction with excellent customer service
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, store)
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Assist in clay manufacturing - loading the clay mixing machine (heavy lifting involved)
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Skills

  • Reliable transportation
  • high aptitude for learning/memory
  • Preferred proven working experience as a warehouse worker
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
  • Familiarity with computers, preferably mac
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (compact 50# boxes or bags and some 100# bags)
  • Preferred current forklift license
  • Preferred current KDOT physical documentation
  • Ability to follow documented procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $18.00 per hour
