Job description

The Warehouse Associate will oversee the activities and the movement of materials within TST’s facilities using forklifts and other material handling equipment. A successful candidate will prepare product for shipment and load/unload trucks throughout the day.

You will do this by:

• Prepare, package and palletize product for shipment as needed
• Monitor the production schedule and production activities in order to deliver/pull product to/from the production floor in a timely manner
• Receiving of product and purchases including product identification, putting all items in designated locations and all associated software transactions
• Maintain orderly and stocked raw material department
• Operate stand-up/sit-down forklift
• Load & unload trucks safely
• Support the Production & Maintenance departments with any required Material Handling needs
• Regular inventory as required
• Accurately, legibly and completely execute tasks and duties as required by the Quality System
• Back-up Shipping Associate, as needed
• Duties may vary based on employment site
• Other tasks as assigned

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work quickly and swiftly with large, heavy machinery and products
• Proven track record in keeping detailed records regarding processes, procedures, inventory, etc
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing difficult situations, quickly solving problems, and complying with production standards

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with some post-high-school coursework in job related studies
• One year previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
• Ability to operate a stand-up/sit down forklift as well as experience loading & unloading trucks
• Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Windows, Epicor)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Desired familiarity with 5S and Lean concepts

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to work well with personnel from all levels of the organization and a self-starter

Physical | Visual Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. every day
• Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (earplugs, safety glasses, respirator) as required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Work Environment:

• Loud manufacturing machines present

Shift/Hours/Days: First Shift, Monday - Thursday - 5:00am - 3:00pm with ability to work overtime on Fridays and Saturdays
