Job description

We are looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead a team of associates to handle the day to day logistics of an event business. Candidate should be detail-oriented, diligent, hard-working, and have a positive attitude.

• Serve as the face of the company at the job site and handle customer needs
• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments by checking them physically
• Check products for defects and accuracy
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
• Pull orders from shelves, and then place and secure onto pallet
• Monitor inventory ensuring items are tracked properly
• Communicate with managers to identify equipment in need of maintenance, issues with inventory, and relay information from the job site
• Ensure appropriate safety measures are followed
• Make sure that tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly at the end of each shift
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
• Manage local job-sites, building and tearing down structures and loading of trucks ensuring everything is set-up in a neat and orderly fashion
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Be punctual and dependable
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation
• Work with and understand event equipment
• Candidate must have the ability to move and lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds
• The ability to properly and safely use basic manual and power tools
• Ability to work under pressure, recognize problems, find solutions, and handle stressful situations; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to safety standards and proper handling of equipment and gear
• Forklift experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekend availability

• Livonia, MI 48150: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
