Wall Panel Designer

Remote after Training (Verona, WI)

As our client’s Wall Panel Designer, you will design projects utilizing MiTek design software for both residential and commercial projects of Roof and Floor trusses designs from blueprints. You will resolve architectural and structural design conflicts. You will understand loading conditions and compute loads and grade requirements and material factors to determine design specifications based on customer’s structural design needs. You will ensure economical and proper use of materials per current inventory levels and material costs and produce materials lists to purchaser. You must be able to take initiative to resolve any problems as they arise either with project design or customer’s needs.

About You

· 2-year degree in design, or related experience/training in engineering e.g. architecture, mechanical

· At least 3-5 years’ experience with MiTek software;5 years’ relevant experience with no degree

· Construction knowledge

· Math skills; good visual and spatial skills

· Customer-focused

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Computer skills with design software utilization

· Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with engineers, customers and peers in a professional manner

· A team player

The Company is a custom manufacturer serving the construction industry. It manufactures roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels (including tall walls) and floor panels. It also provides engineered wood products (EWP) LP’S I-joist and LVL.
