Position Summary:
Title: Cleanroom Technician
Reports to: Department Supervisor
Location: San Jose, CA
Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred)
Experience: Entry level – 1 year semiconductor/wafer experience (preferred), will train on the job
**$1,500 SIGN ON BONUS**
LOOKING FOR SWING OR GRAVEYARD AVAILABILITY: Swing - 3p-11:30p OR Graveyard - 11p-730a
Primary Responsibilities:
· Maintain processing, production, and inspection information and reports
· Follow all Safety, Health and Environmental procedures and policies
· Calculate etching time based on thickness of material to be removed from wafers
· Clean semiconductor wafers using cleaning equipment, such as chemical baths
· Etch, lap, polish, and grind wafers
· Load and unload equipment chambers, transport finished product for storage or further processing
· Load semiconductor material into furnace
· Manipulate valves, switches and buttons, or key commands into control panels to start semiconductor processing cycles
· Monitor operation and adjust controls to processing machines and equipment to produce compositions with specific compositions
· Count, sort, and weigh processed items
· Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects
Education and Qualification Requirements:
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Team-player with effective communication skills, verbal and written
· Familiarization with semiconductor processes
· Flexible with hours
· Must be able to wear a cleanroom suit and safety glasses for extended periods of time, if necessary
· Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
· Physically capable of lifting up to 20 pounds (cleanroom) and 30 pounds (polishers) overhead on a frequent basis during a work shift
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
