Seeking an experienced IT systems administrator to support our San Diego classified lab environments with expertise in setting up and managing Windows and Red Hat operating systems along with Virtual Machines and vulnerability Subject Matter Expert (SME). A successful candidate will join an established team supporting our customers’ designing, implementing, and lab infrastructure requirements. In this role, you will build, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows and Red Hat workstations, servers, and virtual machines; design and implement workgroup-scale networks; build and manage authentication, file-share, and other collaboration servers to support groups of heterogeneous client systems. You will work with industrial security to develop and apply hardening configurations for both unclassified and classified systems that meet RMF requirements. You will also document system configuration for new and existing systems.
Additional duties include:
A CompTIA Security+ CE certification (or equivalent) is required at time of hire or able to obtain with three months of hiring.

Additional duties include:
- Play a pivotal role in building out the Threat & Vulnerability Management position
- Assist implementing Threat and Vulnerability tools to get more insight into the environment
- Work cross functionally to assist teams meet compliance and regulatory requirements
- Create and manage vulnerability lifecycle to consistently remediate vulnerabilities within agreed upon timeframes
- Implement, manage, and monitor security controls to ensure the protection of the organization's assets.
- Perform regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and threats to the organization.
- Monitor security events and incidents to identify potential security breaches and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Security+ CE
- Secret clearance
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise level Windows/Linux Server/Workstations operating environments
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies
- TCP/IP and Microsoft Network concepts
- Virtual Machine (VM) technologies (ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, VMware)
- Nessus
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Top Secret clearance with SCI
- Windows and Unix/Linux interoperability services (e.g. centralized authentication technologies for cross-platform clients)
- Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience
- NetApp, Dell Unity, HPE Nimble storage appliance
- Automated backup systems
- Nessus
