What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace.

The essence of this role is to

• Lead the development and implementation of the function’s strategy and operations to support organizational goals
• Partner closely with the VP, Supply Chain to ensure calibration with our suppliers
• Oversee the entire Quality organization, implementing process improvements and robust systems
• Collaborate across company leadership and present to the Board as needed
• Prioritize projects to ensure that established deadlines and deliverables are met
• Design, hire, and develop high-performing team
• Be a Scout ambassador by positively representing the company and culture

Location and Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events. Applicants should be based in the U.S., able to convene in person and be able to travel to participate in meetings on behalf of the company. Preference given for applicants based near Columbia, SC or Detroit, MI.

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years professional experience, predominately in the automotive industry with quality, purchasing, and/or and related functions with progressive leadership experience
• A successful track record of new product launches
• Expert experience in consistently setting quality benchmarks- understands goals, what the market wants and how we bring that together to create a revolutionary product
• Proven record of building complex ecosystems, creating optimal efficiencies
• Willingness to operate in a start-up setting, accepting fast-paced deadlines and frequent iterations
• Excellent communicator with the ability to influence others outside of their team
• Excellent relationship building skills with strong supplier relationships globally
• Outstanding leadership skills, with experience building and leading high performing teams
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring focus is continually kept on production quality
• Ability to work well across departments and strengthen company culture through effective collaboration
• An understanding of German business culture, with preference for those who have worked with German colleagues or have an understanding of German culture (proficiency with German language welcome)
