RA is a full-stack, verticalized developer; "The Tesla of Buildings". We build premium homes with the goal of dramatically cutting the cost (>30%) and time (50%) to build.

We do everything from buying land, developing, building, and sale. We've started by building single family homes in Canada and the US. In 2021, we've perfected the technology, purchased land and now it's time to scale.

THE ROLE

Your role as the VP of Engineering will be to lead our team of Software Engineers in bringing RA's vision to life. Reporting to the CEO, you will be a member of our senior leadership team that mentors and provides direction to our team while we scale and implement our technology.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Manage the engineering team's execution of software development deliverables and directly supervise, mentor, and collaborate with engineering managers
• Map our product roadmap onto small, agile engineering teams while collaborating with various internal leaders from Architecture, BIM, Robotics and Marketing
• Implement decisions on technical strategy to ensure excellence in scalability, performance and quality
• Roll up your sleeves and deep dive into the technology & code to help developers better understand what is possible
• Develop, plan and successfully execute strategies to improve practices that will ensure the realization of RA's initiatives
• Help achieve a strong balance between immediate business needs and doing the right thing from a tech or engineering perspective
• Contribute meaningfully to company strategy, product development, employee management and growth
• Inspire ongoing thought, growth and innovation amongst an ambitious team of pioneers

Who are you?

The successful candidate will be someone who exhibits unsurpassed conscious leadership, with exceptional world-class technical experience. This person will have the ability to lead others in the face of on-going change, while strategically implementing bold plans for the future.

• 7+ years of senior leadership in tech environments (preferably PropTech) with experience leading multi-disciplinary tech teams from different departments
• Has a holistic understanding of programming, web and mobile applications
• High level of involvement and understanding of ongoing industry trends
• Has a strong product focus that embraces collaborating with product managers, designers and all relevant stakeholders
• You have what it takes to see the big picture and help us steer the rocket ship
• You want to scale a team whose speed matches the ambition of RA's goals
