Responsibilities:
The Visual Designer is a skilled graphic designer and collaborator with a background in digital storytelling. This individual is responsible for designing digital media including websites, applications, campaign landing pages, email marketing, social, and display advertising. The Visual Designer works with UX/UI design and the team’s copywriters to connect to the intended audience in a compelling and relevant way. With a proven track record of producing content that increases engagement and drives leads, this candidate uses data-driven insights to help Atria connect with our audience in the digital space. As a skilled designer, this individual works as part of a team that continually moves our communication and marketing efforts forward.
  • Create engaging, relevant, captivating, and intuitive design, and concepts for use in Atria’s digital channels.
  • Participate in strategic and creative brainstorming sessions and provide recommendations regarding visual content.
  • Use UX/UI best practices to generate engagement and conversion our sites.
  • Utilize industry best practices to develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, social channels, and email marketing.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Digital Creative team.
  • Stay up to date regarding visual design best practices and applications.
  • Review data and analytics in order to optimize future work.
  • Ensure design work reflects and adheres to the prescribed standards of Atria’s unique brands.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tactics and metrics, including engagement, conversion, and analytics.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in visual communication, preferably in an agency or client-side setting.
  • Strong collaborative and conceptual skills.
  • Proven ability to design effective marketing, advertising and corporate communications.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills.
  • Positive, generous team attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of effective information hierarchy.
  • Strong digital portfolio.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and other industry standard design applications.
  • Photo editing and illustration expertise a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively, multi-task and prioritize.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, analytical, flexible, fast paced and able to meet deadlines.
