Violin Instructor needed for an Elementary School in Northeast Houston.

Violin teachers are responsible for teaching students how to play the violin and other string instruments. This includes everything from basic techniques and skills to advanced performance practices. They may also be tasked with helping their students develop a musical ear, which is an important skill for any aspiring musician.

Violin teachers must have extensive knowledge of the instrument itself as well as its history and traditions. They should also be able to effectively communicate this information to their students in a way that’s easy to understand.

Monday-Thursday

7:30am-2:00pm

Jensen/Navigation area

• Teaching or giving private lessons to students at all skill levels, from beginner to advanced
• Preparing students for school programs by providing practice time and feedback on performance skills
• Helping students develop proper techniques for playing their instruments through instruction, corrections, and encouragement
• Teaching students about different styles of music and musical history
• Teaching music theory and composition to students with advanced skills
• Teaching students proper posture and techniques for holding their instruments
• Conducting lessons or group classes in a variety of instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, or voice

Bachelors Degree in Music or other related field required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
