Responsible for capturing, producing and editing video content across the College of Arts and Sciences for use on all social, digital media and promotional platforms. Produce features on students, faculty, staff and alumni. Will also cover events such as performances, exhibitions and celebrations and produce special content as needed. Responsible for storyboarding, filming and editing of original videos and advertisements. 1. Video production services
  • Create original video content for the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) to use, post and disseminate that helps foster enrollment growth and the Lehigh brand
  • Transport, set up and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props for microphones for location and office production
  • Collect and record footage for video development
  • Edit video segments on a variety of digital formats
  • Support the marketing team throughout the production process and prepare videos for use on appropriate platforms
2. Production services
  • Conceptualize and capture video assets of specific CAS and university events and exhibits at various locations
  • Research and select royalty-free materials, such as but not limited to: music/soundtracks, imagery, b-roll, and assets to support the creatives message
  • Develop standard timelines and production schedules for video and educate staff and client partners
  • Work with the director of communications and marketing to purchase, maintain, and/or rent necessary equipment
  • Follow Lehigh University’s brand style/guidelines and CAS creative standards to produce effective video and complement marketing plans
3. Client and partner relations
  • Consult with clients to review video production options
  • Provide information and recommendation to clients regarding timeline, budget and complexity of project(s)
  • Work collaboratively across departments and programs to support University initiatives and branding
  • Manage the wants and needs of internal clients and aligned partners relative to the University's strategic goals and objectives
4. Project planning and coordinating
  • Prepare project schedules and timelines; request service estimates from vendors and freelancers
  • Estimate accurate project costs and establishing project budgets; monitor project expenditures
  • Work with outside vendors
  • Generate accurate work orders and notes concerning pricing, design, production and delivery
  • Collaborate with co-workers and clients to ensure incremental milestones and final deadlines are met
  • Communicate project status to clients, vendors, team members and/or other stakeholders

Grade: 8-40; $44,820 - $53,790

This is an approximate range and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Television Production, Film Studies, a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience

One to three years related work experience

Proven proficiency of video animation and media production

Capacity for proficiency in photography and/or photojournalism

Proven competency with video camera and video editing software programs including Adobe Animate, Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Understanding of social media trends and platform capabilities as it relates to video and animation

Ability to create HTML5 digital marketing assets

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
