Cobb Technologies is seeking a well-qualified and experienced VP of Sales to join our Executive Leadership team. We are searching for someone with a strong mix of imaging sales knowledge, workflow systems, major account selling strategy, sales development, and CRM management. Our team members provide solutions to our customers that include print, software solutions, managed IT and Voice over IP. Cobb has been a leader in the Virginia marketplace for over 30 years. We are excited to meet candidates that possess the following skills:
- Ability to provide leadership and direction to a team of sales professionals
- Previous experience working for an imaging dealership, with a very strong understanding of the MPS model, pricing, and best practices
- Patience and strong customer services skills. This individual will be working with a myriad of business, technologies, applications, and personalities
- Ability to work effectively within a team, as well as independently
- Be able to communicate effectively with business owners, IT staff and department managers
- Strong Project Management and Communications skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to use a consultative approach to understand and influence decisions
- Proven leadership skills and successful sales experience in the B2B market
- Imaging industry experience preferred
- Critical thinking and problem solving

VP of Sales goals:
- Direct all aspects of achieving the company revenue and profit objectives, market share growth and sales initiatives
- Develop and oversee department processes and procedures, internal cross department communications and engagements
- Responsible for employee retention, hiring, and development of the sales team
- Responsible for developing business plans that include goals, objectives, and strategies to meet sales performance, database processes, sales training, and time management coaching
Position expectations:
- Lead Internal Team meetings to evaluate team forecasting, activity levels and net new opportunities
- Review with each sales manager their weekly activity and forecasting
- Assist team members with the financial structure of working opportunities
- Oversee the team's ability to identify steps necessary to stabilize client environment - devise plan to align solutions, budget, and timeline
- Final review of all Proposals/Statements of Work for critical high-profile customers
- Provide periodic feedback to Executive Leadership regarding market activities, sales performance, and forecasting
- Community involvement through volunteerism and networking
