The Vice President leads Quality and Regulatory for Baxter Healthcare Systems and Technology (HST) GBU which is made up of 16 Device Manufacturing facilities, Product Quality, and Regulatory strategy. They are accountable for the development and implementation of strategies to achieve the quality, business, and compliance goals.
Responsibilities:
Participate as a member of the Global Quality Senior Leadership team and the GBU Leadership team
Responsible for supporting all the currently marketed products sold/produced in the GBU’s; actively monitoring customer complaints, identifying potential quality or safety issues, assessing the potential risk, recommending mitigation strategies/actions, and effecting any field corrections, product removals, corrective/preventative actions required
Act as the spokesperson and lead negotiator in planning and implementing all interactions with the relevant Regulatory Authorities and Agencies to maintain, resolve or improve GBU compliance standing.
Lead and direct all the relevant Quality organizations; setting, managing, and communicating priorities based on the Business needs and strategies.
Guide relationships with regulatory authorities to facilitate interactions on behalf of Baxter GBU for critical issues
Oversee development and negotiation of overall plans regarding safety, efficacy, and quality to assure viability for GBU registrations
Create and lead culture within the Manufacturing teams to maintain ethics and compliance in everything we do.

Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing in the Medical Device industry.
Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science or Engineering discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
Proven leadership ability with a track record of making difficult decisions in a logical, rational manner.
Comfortable working at a global level and in a highly matrixed environment.
Demonstrated ability to work as a senior leader and to engage the entire senior leadership team as needed. Strong communication skills are essential.
Experience working in a matrix global environment.
50% travel required.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of 232,000 to 348,000 plus an annual incentive bonus, commission and equity target. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, business line, and geographic/office location.
