SUMMARY:
Overall management responsibility for the company and divisional accounting functions including direction of the organization’s financial planning, accounting practices, and relationships with the users of our financial information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Overall management responsibility for the accounting department ensuring high quality business activities with maximum efficiency, personnel engagement, customer and supplier service, and profitability.
· Oversight of accounting personnel including staffing requirements, recruitment, training, set action and targets, appraise, and manage performance, delegation, development, coaching and general support of all personnel, both supervisory and team members, to ensure targets are met.
· Set an example for both supervisory and team members of commitment, accounting and manufacturing process expertise, work ethic and habits and personal character.
· In coordination with MBT, maintain and champion agreed upon standards for accurate records and the use of all company IT, software, financial, quality, safety, and HR systems including the dissemination of these standards to all personnel.
· Primary lead in the development of procedures and utilization of the accounting and costing modules for the company’s software system to provide proper records, controls and services.
· Comprehensive understanding of GAAP accounting including development of Profit Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flows, Costing (by operation or machine center) and Percent Complete Accounting for large projects. Generates timely financial reports for management and external parties.
· Coordinates outside accountants to generate audits and financial reviews and tax reporting including the preparation of supporting documents and reconciliation
· Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures and other statistical and routine reports.
· Establishes and maintains contacts with outside accounting group, lending institutions, insurance agents, and attorney consultants.
· Appraises the organization’s financial position, makes recommendations to management regarding capital purchases and cost reductions, and issues periodic reports on the organization’s financial stability, liquidity, and productivity.
· Manages cash and assists management with banking, credit, and other financial arrangements.
· Appraises, directs, and coordinates employee benefit programs including insurance and retirement.
· Appraises, directs, and coordinates corporate insurance package (property, liability, etc.).
· Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed implementation.
· Participates with management to establish corporate economic strategies, objectives, policies, and plans for the organization.
· Develops, coordinates, and assists management with budgeting and projections including tactical and strategic business planning
· Monitor macroeconomic and industry changes including developments affecting customers and suppliers.
· Assist management with the development of revised goals and strategies to react to changes to customer and the market.
· Member Strategic Business Council
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining department employees. Conflict resolution and coaching as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with Accounting emphasis with a minimum of five years’ experience in the accounting field as a manager or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
CPA designation desirable.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Established computer skills required in Excel, Access, Word, Outlook. Preferred experience with Global Shop Solutions. Advanced ability and aptitude for learning new business software applications required. Broad administration managing financials and accounting.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
