Position Overview:
Veterinary Invoicing Associate performs a variety of behind-the-scenes duties to ensure quality pet and client care. The Veterinary Professional Technician will be computer savvy and will be able to navigate through the paperless computer system at OSVS. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of emergency and critical care.
Description:
- Scan daily patient charts
- Enter daily charges for hospitalized patients
- Audit daily invoices for hospitalized patients
- Audit invoices for outpatient visits
- Enter charges prior to discharges
- Apply credits at time of discharge
Ideal candidate:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years recent experience in veterinary practice
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Veterinary Technician Certification is preferred

OSVS is located in East Greenwich, RI with a satellite facility in Swansea, MA. OSVS is a 26,000 sf building with a very busy emergency service, a nationally-respected internship and residency program, and specialists in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Avian/Exotics. Specialized equipment includes telemetry, endoscopy, CT scanner, ultrasound, and MRI.
