VCA Animal Emergency Critical Care within The LifeCentre in Leesburg, VA is hiring Veterinary Technology Students and Veterinary Assistants with direct patient care experience to join our team on evenings and overnights.

About the Role
We want you to utilize your skills and knowledge to the fullest, while continuing to learn and grow. Duties will include:

  • Patient triage and assessment
  • Client education and care
  • Venipuncture, catheter placement
  • Laboratory sample collection and processing
  • Radiology and diagnostic testing
  • Medication preparation and administration
  • IV fluids and infusion set up and maintenance
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Surgical preparation and assisting
  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  • Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
  • Medical recordkeeping

Compensation for this role starts at $18 - $21 / hour based on skill level, experience, and relevant education. For LVT students, once graduated and credentialed you can expect a significant increase from there.
