The Star Veterinary Center of Muskego is currently seeking to fill the role of veterinary assistant! We are a growing practice that offers wellness care as well as urgent care services. We have a state-of-the-art facility with brand new equipment, including: digital xray, in-house lab, and dental xray.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience working as a veterinary assistant, but we would be willing to train the right individual. We are seeking candidates that are motivated, outgoing, detailed-oriented, have great communication skills, can perform tasks completely and accurately, and have a passion for helping animals! Must be computer literate and able to lift 40lbs.
The primary responsibilities of this role depend on experience, but may include: assisting the veterinarian with appointments, educating clients, filling medications, answering phones, restraining patients, assisting with xrays and procedures, performing in-house labwork, drawing blood, anesthesia monitoring, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the facility.
This is a full-time position. Pay is based on experience. Saturday morning availability is required.
