Full Time Veterinarian in Cypress, Texas

We are looking for a full-time Veterinarian (DVM) for our Urgent Care Facility. The successful candidate will provide care for pets with urgent and emergency medical needs. We are looking for a compassionate, caring and skilled individual who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care for pets with urgent and emergency medical needs in the Urgent Care Center
• Examine sick and injured animals and diagnose their conditions
• Prescribe and administer treatments and medications as needed
• Perform surgery as needed
• Provide follow-up care and advice to pet owners
• Perform routine physical examinations on animals
• Perform laboratory tests and interpret results
• Provide advice and education to pet owners on the care of their pets
• Keep detailed records of treatments, diagnoses and instructions for pet owners
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Provide advice and guidance to veterinary support staff

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited college or university
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state
• A minimum of one year of experience as an Associate Veterinarian is preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in the use of computerized medical records systems
