The Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate gathering of insurance benefit information for prospect clients in order to facilitate a quick admission decision.

Requirements

To be consider for the VOB Specialist position, you will need:

• Previous experience in Verification of Benefits or similar
• High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong communication skills, problem solving and working knowledge of insurance payment methodologies
• Proficiency using computer systems and eligibility verification platforms

Verification Specialist Responsibilities

• Initiating and completing VOBs following company procedures to verify client insurance benefits using the internet and phone inquiries.
• Performing Outbound calls if further information is required to create an accurate client file within the processing system.
• Communicating accurate benefits to the client, as needed.
• Meeting all department productivity and quality standards.
• Adhering to HIPAA and PHI Regulations.
• Working within team to share workload, back up colleagues who are out, and prevent backlogs from being created.
• Required to work extended or overtime shifts as needed.
• Ensures assigned work is complete and accurate by end of work shift daily, weekly, monthly.
• Observing and communicating to management any opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency in day-to-day operations.
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: $19-$24/hour
