A major heavy equipment dealer has immediate career opportunities for detail-oriented workers to support their equipment. The utility person will be responsible for cleaning equipment and monitoring and tracking inventory in the yard. This opportunity offers competitive pay, a benefits package, 401k, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and detail machines upon return from rent, demo, or as directed by managers
- Log and track all units that are cleaned, including serial number and department
- Maintain and update fuel logs
- Verify machine readiness before customer delivery or pickup
- Ensure fuel, hours, and condition of the machine
- Bring to managers’ attention any noticeable defects or safety hazards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
- Maintain condition and inventory of supplies and tools
- Empty trash receptacles from service bays daily or as directed
- Utilize yard sweeper to keep the yard clean as needed or directed
- Assist with snow removal on the property
- Operate all equipment with the utmost safety
- Check-in and log all driver activity delivering or returning machines
- Direct driver to appropriate department manager
- Assist with Service Department activities as directed by the Service Manager
- Fuel logs to be turned into Rental Department daily
- Driver and Cleaning logs to be turned into service department daily
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
