Job Summary:

Looking for a mission? How about building the data enterprise within Space Operations Command? Are you passionate about the user’s experience? Are you self-organizing, motivated, and client focused? We are looking for a UI/UX HCD Designer who can craft solutions that are surgically simple. Can you create good outcomes that put people, their needs and experiential ways at the heart of using a system or application. You’ll be partnering with Space Operations Command clients, analysts, strategists and developers to create the best experience for end users. Essential Job Functions:

• Apply Human Centered Design principles to the creation of web and digital experiences for Space Operations Command clients
• Work closely with both external clients and internal cross functional teams on projects that range from a few weeks to a few months in length
• Participate in the planning, execution, & synthesis of user research and/or usability testing
• Participate in persona, archetype, or mindset development, user journey/flow creation, and task analysis

Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience designing digital products and solutions for various clients.
• 1+ year using Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on XD; Sketch; Mural; Miro.
• Demonstrable wireframing and prototyping abilities. Supporting the creation of concept sketches, static wireframes, annotated wireframes, platform-built prototypes
• Able to demonstrate a practical ability to apply complex principles of human centered design as well as user interface & interaction design principles
• Ability to understand fundamental principles of information architecture and demonstrate ability to create simple constructs
• Have practical experience with usability testing
• Demonstrable written, oral, presentation + time and task management skill.
• Ability to provide clear, articulate rationale for design choices and approach
• TS/SCI Required
• Bachelor’s degree

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
