Job description
The Treasury & Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for daily reconciliation and analysis of cash management and reporting, lease and severance accounting, as well as completing the quarterly financial reporting package.
This position is located at our corporate office in Cranbury, NJ and offers a hybrid schedule option of 3x/week in office and 2x/week remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze daily global cash position spread across multiple banks for upper management review while monitoring all bank balances and activity and resolving any problems
- Maintain employee accounts set up and maintain user entitlements, user/account limits, and account groups within JPM Access banking system
- Assist in establishing treasury controls, procedures, and policies, and implementing process improvements
- Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger and make any necessary journal entries
- Complete consolidated financial statements and footnotes on a quarterly and yearly basis
- Work closely with internal and external auditors to complete all quarterly audit requests
- Review severance agreements and ensure proper recording in accordance with US GAAP, making any necessary monthly journal entries
- Analyze and record all leases in accordance with ASC 842, making any necessary monthly journal entries
- Review all new contracts on a quarterly basis to ensure each sales agreement and lease is recorded
- Perform monthly reconciliations for severance, lease, and various other accounts
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting
- 1 or more years of experience in financial environments
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Firm grasp of basic and intermediate accounting principles
- Proficient Excel abilities (i.e., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, sumifs, etc.)
- Eager to learn and operate in a virtual group setting using Microsoft Teams
- Team player with excellent communication, ability to work independently, take initiative, meet deadlines, problem-solve, analytical skills, and ability to multitask
- Comfortable with using or learning necessary systems:
- General ledger/ERP system: JDE
- Banking Systems: JPM Access, Wells Fargo CEO, TD, BoA CashPro
- Comfortable handling and storing confidential financial information
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to compile professional and thorough accounting reports
- Ability to interact with partners at all levels of the company and third-party providers such as banks and consultants
