We are searching for talented Travel Pediatrics Dental Assistants (Full-Time & Part-Time) to join our team in Houston, Texas to support 3 of our locations in the Houston area (Cypress, Hwy 6 & Tidwell)

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and recording patient vital signs

• Suctioning, cutting sutures, and holding retractors

• Mixing amalgam, cement, and pulp paste and preparing impression materials

• Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays

• Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients

• Placing and cementing bands

• Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands

• Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions

• Maintaining crash cart equipment and supplies

• Working with oral and IV sedated patients in office and hospital settings

• Providing excellent chairside assistance by anticipating next steps and staying in constant mental synchronization with the doctor

• Ensuring the patient and parent understands the post-op instructions

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) preferred

• Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide

• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training

• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful

• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

• This position may require the employee to use his/her personal vehicle to travel to different work sites during the course of the work day, which means you would need an active, valid Driver’s License.
